INTERIOR DESIGN FEATURES
Route display
An LED display at the front of the bus below the ceiling provides text announcements, route progress information and next stop warnings and identification. This display is augmented by the displays on the doors when the bus is in transit. Similar information is also broadcast through speakers in audible form and in visual and audible modes on riders’ personal devices.
Automated WMD securement area
Flip down seats for 3 riders can be stowed to secure a manual wheeled mobility device (tie downs). The manual securement position is front facing and the space can be expanded for maneuvering by leaving the adjacent seats in the up position. Removable tie down devices eliminate obstacles to maneuvering and tripping hazards on the floor.
Manual WMD securement area
Wheeled mobility device users can use the automated securement system rather than the manual system to reduce loading time and driver engagement. This system requires a rear facing position. Flip down seats are provided when the securement system is not in use.
Extra convertible seating
Two more convertible seats provide extra room to load two wheelchair users, bulky objects or strollers.
Step/Ramp
A change in level is required to provide the low floor profile and reduce the entry ramp slope and step height. The difference in level is accommodated by a 3 in. step or a ramp at a 1:12 slope marked with contrasting colors. An automated device to convert the step to a ramp is not recommended to maintain the same conditions for every ride.
Rear seating area
Side facing seats in the rear seating area are easy to access and provide more circulation space and standing room. Hanging stanchions around the perimeter and vertical stanchions at the sides of the step provide safety for boarding and disembarking passengers and standing passengers.
Payment option
Point of sale device for payment is mounted on the stanchion next to the entry.
